Alain Bonnefoit was born in Paris, and over the last 35 years has become well-known as an important and talented figurative painter.


In 1953, Bonnefoit entered l’Ecole des Arts Applique and l’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. From 1959 to 1960, he studied “Engraving and Sculpture” at l’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Brussels.
In 1962, he returned to Paris and studied sculpture under the renowed Volti with who he discovered the female nude. Since then, he has dedicaced himself fully to this theme; his works are an ode to woman as these marvellous works are created from limited prints to
canvas. His Eve renditions are filled with life and sensuality and shared for the greatest pleasure off all.

Alain Bonnefoit has had major exhibitions throughout the world, including France, Italy, Switzerland, United-States… which have made him a Master of the female nude.
